We arranged a meeting with the Sultan of Agadez, who gave us permission to stage a concert with Bambino next to the ancient Grande Mosque. After three years of being virtually shut down because of a rebellion, Agadez finally found an occasion to celebrate. Over a thousand people showed up and Bambino performed as one of the great guitar players of Africa.
